Questions,
answered.
Wait — does Miso actually watch the video?
Honest answer: no. Miso is a speed-reader, not a food critic. It parses the caption, description, pinned comment and on-screen text that creators write around their clip, then restructures that text into a clean recipe with tidy measurements and step order. The upside — it's lightning-fast and works offline once shared. The catch — if a creator posts a video with a two-word caption, there's nothing for Miso to read, and we'll tell you so instead of hallucinating quantities.
Which sources can I share into Miso?
Anything text-based: TikTok & Reels captions, YouTube descriptions, cooking blogs, Substack newsletters, Safari pages, even a Notes-app paste. If the recipe lives in words somewhere in the post, Miso can turn it into a proper card.
Can I cook for my whole family's calorie needs?
Yes. Each household member has their own goal between 1,200 and 4,000 kcal. Miso scales servings and balances the weekly plan so the family eats together, but each person hits their own target.
How does household sync work?
One person creates the household, everyone else scans a QR code to join. Meal plans and grocery lists sync live across every device — no accounts to manage, no exports, no reminders to pester each other.
Does it cost anything?
Miso is free to download with every core feature included. A Plus plan unlocks unlimited AI extractions and advanced planning — we'll ask nicely once you're hooked.
