Welcome to Miso Cook. This Privacy Policy explains how Vadym Maistruk ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Miso Cook mobile application. By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address to authenticate you and sync your data across devices.

Usage and App Data: We collect data related to your product interaction, such as imported recipes, meal plans, household connections, and calorie goals.

Purchase History: If you subscribe to Miso Pro, Apple processes your payment. We may retain a record of your subscription status to unlock premium features.

Camera Access: We request camera access solely for scanning QR codes to join Family Households. Images are processed locally on your device and are not saved, recorded, or transmitted to our servers.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and maintain the app's core functionality (e.g., recipe parsing, meal planning, and auto-generating shopping lists).
  • To synchronize your meal plans and grocery lists with other members of your Household.
  • To process external links (TikTok/Instagram) via our AI services to extract recipe text. (Note: Only the public URL/text is sent to AI models; no personally identifiable information is attached).

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share anonymized data with third-party service providers (such as AI parsing APIs or cloud hosting) strictly to operate our service. All payments are securely handled by Apple; we do not collect or store your credit card details.

Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your personal data only as long as your account is active. You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. You can do this directly within the Miso Cook app by navigating to Settings > Delete Account. Upon deletion, your email and personal data will be permanently removed from our active database.
